Help Protect Children Everywhere
Vaccines are one of our most powerful tools to protect children from serious diseases. By participating in our pneumococcal vaccine research, you're helping us develop even better protection for children worldwide.
Why This Research Matters
That's why we are researching if an investigational formulation of our pneumococcal vaccine can help protect against more strains.
Expanded Protection
Developing vaccines with broader strain coverage to help protect children against more types of pneumococcal bacteria
Global Impact
Your participation helps protect children everywhere, today and in the future
Taking part in this clinical trial may help improve vaccine protection not only for your baby, but also other children in the future.
About This Study
Who Can Participate?
We are enrolling healthy babies between 6 and 14 weeks old who have not yet received a pneumococcal vaccine.
How Study Assignment Works:
Babies enrolled in this study will be assigned by chance (like flipping a coin) to receive either:
-
The study vaccine (investigational formulation), or
-
Prevnar 20® (a licensed pneumococcal vaccine)
✓ There is NO placebo (an injection with no active ingredients) in this study
Why babies are vulnerable: Babies are especially vulnerable to pneumococcal disease because their immune systems are still developing. Getting your baby vaccinated is the best way to help prevent pneumococcal disease.
Study Timeline & Schedule
Participation lasts about a year and a half and includes:
6 In-Person Visits (4 of these can take place during well-baby visits)
1 Phone Call With the study team
Vaccination Schedule (4 Doses):
Dose 1
2 months
Dose 2
4 months
Dose 3
6 months
Dose 4
12-15 months
Your baby will receive these doses in line with current recommendations for childhood pneumococcal vaccination.

Your participation helps advance vaccine protection for children everywhere, but the choice is always yours.
Commitment to Children's Health
Pfizer's pneumococcal vaccines have helped protect children for over 20 years. We're committed to building on that legacy through ongoing research.

By joining this clinical trial, you're helping us develop the next generation of vaccines that will protect even more children from pneumococcal disease.
